Absolutely take it. Work with your doctor and HR on the paperwork. Lots of people take medical leaves for lots of reasons. Take care of yourself first.

OP, I took a month off for mental health issues. While I was out, I had dinner with a colleague and she told me about someone else who was out on leave too. It's more common than people realize.
I've been at 2 firms. I didn't take off at the first one, but should have. I took leave shortly after starting at my second.
I respect my team so much more because of their support of me back then. It was a few years ago.

FMLA is a legal right, and will affect your career a lot less than if your situation has a visibly negative impact on your performance

Took two medical leaves - definitely take advantage if you need it. Check out the short term leave information on DNet, it's relatively straightforward to request through MetLife. They'll work with your doctor and the leaves team at Deloitte

Yeah man. No one looks at it badly and you'll find a lot more support than you'll probably expect. My buddy took medical time off with no questions asked

Take it! I took medical leave from Deloitte to recover from a recent car accident. It is an easy process to request and then have a form completed by a professional. However, I'm using up most of my PTO for FMLA, so I won't be taking much of a Christmas break.

I have. Firm was excellent. Gave me even more time than I needed and helped me find a nice role once I came back.

If you're looking into it, it's the right choice.
Gotta touch the bottom before we can come back up.

2 fold question as I debate whether to restart my Equinox membership: I’ve been using Equinox+ since covid. For the past few months, I’ve started a new weightlifting regimen w/1-2 days of cardio. I use the app on those cardio days vs. prior to this routine, I’d use the app 4-6 days a week for yoga/hiit/abs/strength/etc. Q1: as I’m not taking a variety of classes and have equipment at home, is it worth going back in-person? Q2: When do I switch back to mostly cardio? Or is weightlifting 4 life?
