Has anyone taken one of those online executive courses, like the Harvard Extension School offers? Looking to use my $5k of tuition reimbursement and already have an MBA. Worth it? Best programs?

Yep, I just finished my masters in management with Harvard extension. Totally worth it - best in class professors.

@Slalom very appreciated. I'll take a look at how much of a community these schools aim to make out of it. Cost isn't a factor since it's company-paid, but professors and network seem to be the key. This'll help my search a bunch 👍🏽👍🏽

I'm in banking/tech strategy btw, there aren't any certifications that would be relevant... so I'm looking at strategy, innovation, design thinking, and leadership courses.

Online MSc, MBA ..... Western Governors University, Arizona State University,.... there's more those are just two affordable ones. I personally am doing my MSc through WGU part time.

Yeah, I already have my MBA... definitely not going for another full degree, just a certificate at most. Good luck though!

Looking for ideas for a slight "career change". I can't stand working bedside/acute care nursing anymore, officially burnt out.

Does anyone have any experience with informatics based nursing jobs, or clinical documentation specialist positions? EMR auditing? Remote jobs? Pros/cons? Do you find there are part time positions available?

I don't have my masters just my BSN/RB, nor do I plan on going back for my masters, would possibly consider a certification if really necessary.

Hey all,
I am looking for some guidance. I am currently an RN and just feel like the healthcare system is falling apart. I currently work in home health and am thinking about what my next job choice should be, whether in nursing or something outside of healthcare. I’m feeling so unfulfilled in work and just burnt out. It could be I just need to step away from direct patient care and do something more behind the scenes. Anyone else having these thoughts or have any guidance? I appreciate the help

So I’m considering to go back to school for my master in Engineering or Data Science next fall. Which is a 1.5 years program. However this current job crisis got me scared. What if I can’t get a job once I graduate? Will the job market come back to normal by 2025 👀

I feel like we’re going downhill. I might just move to Brazil and live with the Amazonian tribe at this point.

Hello fishes,
I am a Salesforce Developer with 2.2 YOE. I have offers from big4 (Deloitte, KPMG) and a product based company (Sparta Systems, A Honeywell Company). In Sparta Systems I will be working on Salesforce and cross technologies (Java, AWS). Sparta has offered me 16LPA and KPMG has offered 14.5 LPA fixed and other company benefits. Should I go for a brand or Sparta in terms of learning and career growth. Money is not a concern here. Thanks in advance for any valuable suggestions.

Hi Fishes, Does Pwc AC Bangalore give Mobile phone reimbursement of 34k like in Kolkata AC? Is there WFH one time allowance given now for new joiners post august 2022?

First 8 weeks as an Associate after jumping from Big4:

Pros - super smart/driven colleagues, more unique/interesting work, more ownership, benefits are awesome, traveling frequently, more technical work, more frequent feedback

Cons - hours are worse, much faster timelines, having to learn the BCG way quickly, much higher expectations, less ability to choose cases

Overall very happy with the switch so far - happy to answer any questions!

Does anyone know why I lose more weight when I eat 2000 calories vs when I eat 1200 calories? For reference, I am currently 5’7 F and 128 lbs. I cannot work out for another month due to an expiring CPA exam so I am definitely losing muscle mass.

When I calorie count, I account for every little thing such as the vegetable oils or the tbs of salt. The 1200 calories is usually an extremely large meal + fruits + soup. The 2000 calories is usually a meal from a restaurant + fruits + a sandwich.

Any kind folks willing to give some advice? Trying to figure out short and long term post MBA goals for my application. I’m currently in strat/ops consulting, work in fintech/payments. I really ultimately want to do fintech VC as my long term goal, but don’t have startup or IB experience. What’s a realistic short-term goal for my story? IB? Fintech startup like a Stripe? Or corporate dev/M&A at a larger FS company? I’m honestly open to all of these, but don’t want to seem unfocused in my app.

I am wanting to shift gears and I am at a point where I can invest time in myself to learn through practical experience. The new industry I am wanting to pursue is real estate investment. I have read all the books but want some hands on experience on the property management side. How could I best leverage my skills for a role in this, and what should my expectations be for negotiation in compensation?
