Partner sends me fairly complex “quick research” assignment at 5:30, to come up with creative transactional solutions to a particular issue. You drop other things send them some solid ideas and they say oh i meant to ask you this. And the real question was something everyone in the office could have just said “no that’s impossible” without having to check.

Having a really rough day.

How argumentative are you with your partners? I was assigned to draft a motion. I studied the issue for hours. Felt sure about my findings. I drafted it and sent it for review. Partner came back with a different argument, which I know to be wrong based on the case law. Ultimately, we went back on forth on drafts over this issue but I couldn’t give her what she wanted because I can’t physically argue something I think is flat out wrong. She ended up doing it herself.

I love it when my senior managers care enough to let me know I have to make time to study for my CPA but then ask for my help on a client to finish by next week and expect me to work overtime (11hr+) to meet deadlines. I’m assuming making for time for the CPA means cutting my hours of sleep.

Just got my audit score and didn’t pass - should I go on and study FAR or try again with audit and then take FAR when I pass?

Is the processing time for the general and attest processing time the same?
