Deloitte has you use 6 or 8 weeks of STD before the 16 weeks of family leave.

I am pretty sure EY does the same.

I thought that was normal. I'm male, but my wife has talked about this with peers quite a bit. It makes the paid 16 weeks more like 6 months after PTO and disability.

Perhaps if you had a complicated delivery and need extra time to recover?

This is mega big brain 🧠

My first consulting firm (ICF) had horrible maternity leave when I was there. It might have changed since then but basically the moms I worked with would do 5 weeks paid short term disability for regular delivery and I think 7 weeks for C section. I remember this specifically because they all were so mad about the policy (and rightfully so)

It should be straightforward but I would still have everything documented!

I am currently on approved 8 weeks STD followed by 8 weeks paternity leave.

Suppose to work this weekend... but got sick.. my week will be soo bad now 😭😭😭😭

I’m mentally breaking down because I have been doing a job of a scheduler, PM, notetaker, regulatory submissions, and thus have no room for growth to work on strategy. I’m an AS and I am so sick of having to remind everyone because no one looks at my notes, recaps, and no one remembers anything from any meeting. Recently because I’m so exhausted I started making more “mistakes” like not catching a mistake on a submission. Is this because I suck or is it time for me to move off? I feel terrible.

Not sure if anyone else deals with this, but I feel so inferior compared to my friends at medical school or those who went to Ivy post grads. I went straight to Accenture right after college and while I’m so grateful for having a good job, I just feel like I haven’t done enough and will never realize certain financial goals at the rate I’m going. The problem is I’ve never really been good at setting attainable goals and often get discouraged and feel as though I can never be “the high achiever”

Question: should the students be suspended or does their legal accomodation supercede district policy.

Went out this weekend for my cousin’s 21st bday. My cousin ended up getting super sick, throwing up at the bar, etc. my buddy and his gf came to the same bar (they were celebrating gf’s bday). Seeing my cousin in a bad state I decided to take her home. My buddy’s gf got super mad at me and my gf for wanting to care for my cousin. She then gave a half assed apology saying she was annoyed at the situation. I don’t really know how to bring this up to my friend. Any suggestions are appreciated!

The US bowls seem to be reporting large retention bonuses, so was wondering if UK is similar

Is it better to tell the new place I would prefer to push my start date to take my leave and join two weeks after (accounting for 2 weeks of notice when I get back)?
