I’ve pivoted my life like seven times. Military to consulting to PhD to med school. I regret nothing - it’s about the journey, people who think life is all about maximizing ROI are not my kinda peeps
Consultant1 that is awesome! I’m thinking of my third pivot myself, always wanting to grow and learn with new experiences
I am studying for law school right now, trying to do a switch from consulting to law
Studying for the lsat is like getting a Cpa or another certificate. Lots of weekend and early morning studying, just gotta put in the time and it wasn’t hard considering COVID basically killed all social time and commuting
PERE but idk how to get into a school for that and I’m dumb
Already did. Was an English teacher abroad (real teacher, not a backpacker making extra cash). Got my MA in international affairs and switched to foreign policy and foreign affairs. Now I jump back and forth between national security and international development and make less $$ than the rest of you on here lol
Honestly, I feel like most of us could take our consulting skills and be pretty dangerous in an industry we are good at.
Even though it'll be less money at first, I've thought about going out and doing international development. Figure I'd make a lot less the first few years, but also use my consulting acumen to make more later on.
Remember, even though you can calculate how much money you'd make over a lifetime at Accenture, remember how few people stay as you climb the ladder...
Thought about going back for a master’s in health management, but I dont know what I’d do and I dont know how healthcare will change in the next 5-10 years.
If I were you go for the MBA with a concentration in healthcare. I worked in the hospital industry, while a MHA can get you to a top role, it’s not at all necessary and at least with the MBA you’ll have more opportunities across any industry (if you move from healthcare).
I too started the process to go to Law school. COVID makes it easy to study for the LSAT. My goal is to work on my resume at Deloitte and leave for Law School right after my 3rd year here.
Goal is to dual major with international affairs and pursue international human rights law. If that doesn’t work out I’m okay to go into Big Law. If I’m going to work 12 hours a day, I might as well do it for $200k.

P2 what are your target schools? I am thinking the same.
Wide range, for me it depends on my LSAT score. Dream school is Georgetown but I am also from the Bay Area so UC Hastings is a target for me
