Has anyone made the jump from tech-specific consulting (epm, crm, erp, etc.) to more generalist consulting/strategy? I love the subject matter (finance, enterprise value) of what I do but I’m not passionate about the tech. I’m probably within a month of my solution architect cert but I don’t see myself doing this long term. I also have concerns about pigeonholing myself into one technology and limiting my career prospects. Any advice?

Just got into Columbia and although I want to move to NYC I would reallyyy like to end up in DC post-MBA. I'm a bit worried if that's feasible at CBS as I'm assuming most oppurtunities are NYC based.
