My parents always had a focus on savings and being financially independent growing up. Now that I (F) am married, they expect my SO (M) to pay for everything. In my recent vacation, they noticed my SO(M) using my card at restaurants, etc. They were concerned that he uses "my" money and doesn't use his. My SO and I split expenses and my card was just convenient with no exchange fees. I explained that to them. How do I stop this from mentally bothering me? (Details in comments)

Second year m&a associate. I don’t want to bill 2000 hours forever, but renjoy the work and am well regarded in my group. What would the response be if during my 5th year, I say that I want to go to 80-90% time (1600-1800 hours)? Firm still would be making a healthy profit off of me…I figure it would allow me to add a few more years in biglaw and to exit to a better in house role. Largely would be fine keeping same schedule, but taking more time off.

Summer Travel: In the craziness of the school year I didn't get/make the time to plan my summer out, so I'm doing it now. I realize it's late, & I don't normally wait so long, but I am in desperate need of a vacation. If I were to visit your state/county this summer, what kinds of things should I do? In need of advice- my friends have excluded me a few times claiming "they know I have work". I've told them outside of jan-march I have unlimited PTO. They all went on a road trip this weekend and didn't tell me. Should I tell them that it's hurtful, let it go, or ghost them?
