Most of them fake saying 30 days rather than 60 days just to grab the offer and later try convincing them or trying other companies. Now a days most of the organization don't want to risk and hire someone who has 60 days or more than that as Notice period.
Yeah that's the trick applied by most of people to get the offer and they also give with no issues
I've got an offer from an organisation with 45 days in joining while my notice period was 60 days.
My previous organisation has released me within a week, I've not been working for more than 30 days, giving interviews, taking break etc.
When company/recruiter ask why didn't you join, I said my joining date is late and I've taken early release due to some personal reason and taking a break. I can join after so and so date.
Some recruiter suspect about that, I anyway don't want to interview for them.
1. I'm nearing to last working day in a few weeks, so my current offer company reached out to me to confirm what is my last working day, I said I'd to taken early releasing due to personal reasons and will be joining on the said date (though, I did get the person reasons due to some medical complications in my family and devoted my 1-2 weeks for that)
2. Some recruiter kind of forces to know the last working day
3. I didn't say anything, I submitted my resignation based on complete notice period only, they had onboarded me to a client 2 weeks back, that client released me, so they released me as they were some their money! I probably could not have got such an early releasing from them had I requested for the same. Everyone sees their profit!
