To those in Canada - Our company is bracing for recession. Question is, if we rescind an offer, do we have to pay any compensation to the candidate? The candidate responded about the need to pay him because we rescinded close to his supposed start date.
I have an offer with IBM - 18 lpa fixed and cognizant - 23lpa (22.3 lpa fixed). I asked IBM to revise the offer to match the counter, but they rejected it. I atleast asked them for 21lpa even that too rejected. The difference between in-hand salary of both comes to around 30k. Now IBM team is calling me continuously and asking if I am going to join or not. Please suggest.

I joined my first job, and after joining I am realising I have settled for a less salary compared to my peers. I didn't negotiate and accepted what was offered. Any suggestions on how to better negotiate and not commit the same mistake again? And is it advisable to ask for a raise in the company in the first 6 months?
I sm about to make a big purchase and I am thinking of picking up another card to get the bonus.
I currently have only the CSR. Any recommendation on what card to get with a solid sign on bonus?
Dear Peanut paying companies (TCS especially), don’t you have some basic manner in valuing the precious time of Candidates? When you’re scheduling interviews, you asked about the current salary and expectation. Even though knowing the peanut you’re going to offer is way below Candidate’s current salary, why are you still processing for further interviews? Don’t you ashamed of yourself calling as a Recruiter? These are basic manners/commonsense, which you guys are unaware of!!!
Hi All, I have got two offer Letters, one from Fujitsu Consulting and another from 7-eleven. The salary of both the offers are quite same and role is very similar. I am into cloud security. Which company would be better to join? I couldn't find enough feedback online. 7-eleven has recently formed a new team
FUJITSU LIMITED and 7-Eleven
I had cleared all rounds and BGV documents also submitted 3 weeks ago. HR called for some workday step completion and salary discussion 2 weeks back and told that she'd call after 3 days. Since then no call/updates and for my followup mails too. Should I still hope to receive an offer letter?
Thanks in advance.
How much bonus & hike %age, one can expect for Progressing Rating?

Hello Network, I recently got an offer interest from Moody's Corporation for Sr Systems Engineer position. They gave me good hike from my current salary, but I would like to know more about how average annual hike, perks and salary standard at Moody's to decide weather I should just accept the offer and ready myself to join or try to look for other job offers to renegotiate before joining. I don't wish to stay underpaid just because I am underpaid.

For Sr. Strategists, do you ever feel like the role is frustratingly ambiguous? Not low level enough to pull numbers all day like jrs, but not shaping decks like directors. What are the KPIs for us?
Honestly I cringe when I read “I got my dream job at the Big4” from new college graduates. Those same ones are the ones on here now complaining heavily about said dream job. 🥴 . Sorry I’m just being honest.

Paycom - Any current/former AEs have feedback on WLB? Everything I read online says the pay is top tier but curious on the hours being put in as an AE, how easy/hard it is to hit goals etc. Seems like the outside sales rep position is the real grind but obviously just speculating. Have a phone screen with a recruiter coming up. Thanks!
If you’re convinced/go to jail in the following states, you permanently lose the right to vote: Alabama, Arizona, Delaware, Florida, Iowa, Kentucky, Mississippi, Tennessee, & Wyoming. However, there’s no law in the constitution that prevents ex-cons/current cons from running for president 🤔. So Trump is getting on that ballot one way or another, even if he’s convicted in Florida…

So a senior associate sat me down for 30 mins to prepare for a conference I was covering for her. She told me we needed a so ordered stip. when I brought it up during the conference, the court attorney said no and said he’d put it in the order and it should be the same thing. I immediately let the senior associate know but she hasn’t responded to me since Friday. How bad of a mistake is it?

Need advice please. Current mid-level and even though I receive great reviews, keep getting pigeon-holed into only covering junior tasks. When I first lateraled, I was vocal about wanted to take on more mid/senior work, but it’s yet to happen. Everyone is very busy and I’m guessing part of it is that no one has time to review and mentor, but I feel like it’s beginning to inhibit my growth.
I’ve been seeing some anti-associate articles on AmLaw recently. So much biased crap. I have to keep reminding myself that law firm partners pay their salaries.
Looking to potentially lateral from a finance group (doing mostly lending) into a general corporate practice. How open are firms generally to this? I talked to recruiters who seem to think retooling is very hard.
