Has anyone tried Keto and experienced a improvement in ADD symptoms? I’m really trying to get off medication at some point. I’ve tried exercise, but need more. Thanks! :)

I went on Keto recently. I wouldn't necessarily say it helped with focus, but it did give me a lot more energy. Lumosity helped a lot with focus, working memory games.

I did a keto stint last summer. Felt awoke all the time, even stopped drinking coffee. While I felt more ‘focused’, the lack of distractions was still only felt with meds. So I still kept with my meds, but adjusted the dosage for myself. For what it’s worth, you can also buy MCT oil online and add it to your coffee and whatnot to get ketone bodies into your system. The human brain will prioritize uptake of ketone bodies for fuel over glucose when both are present in equal concentration. So if it’s just the mental focus that you’re looking for, you don’t need to commit to a diet. There are added mental benefits with the diet as a whole, when it’s in a lower glycemic environment.

MCT = medium chain triglycerides, which gets prioritized in getting converted to ketone bodies by your liver vs converted to fat being stored. MCT is the highest concentration in coconut oil, which is why people say coconut oil is good for you. Coconut oil is actually terrible for you, but the MCT is A+

Hey! I went on Keto (kept taking meds) and noticed a stark improvement in my focus. I read up more and realized modern wheat often causes brain fog and I swear the time I was on Keto, my thoughts were crystal clear. Cant say the name about overall ADD, I am a cranky person and the meds help me keep my mood swing checked.

Serious question: why do you think it’s important for you to broadcast to the world what (and who) you pay on Venmo? I use Venmo but still don’t get it; I always send money as private transactions.
