2 of my properties have ikea and they hold up (8 years) now.
There are varying lines and quality from ikea but I think important thing is the installations. Go with a trusted contractor and professional to get best results.
Thanks so much!!

I have a lot of nearly 10 year old IKEA furniture that is still in great shape. Of course, it looks like 10 year old style of someone at their first job out of college. But in terms of sturdiness it’s still as good as the day I bought.
Good to hear thank you
My kitchen has
Ikea cabinets
The least expensive granite pattern counters
$1.50 sq ft floor tile
Affordable back splash tile
All holding up fine.
What do people notice?
The expensive pendant lights over the island
Size of the island
Second sink in the island.
Cool cabinet features.
Under cabinet lighting
Good luck!
I’ve got some small tables (end table type stuff) and a couple of office items that are 100% functional after more than 20 years and 5 moves. Still look great and work fine
Half my house is ikea from my our college days. We moved them 3 times already and in good condition.

I’d use ikea cabinets if I were renovating - have used them for a basement cabinet built in for storage and it has held up well and the drawers are smooth and high quality. I’d use custom fronts though - something like semi handmade doors (google it). Have their fronts for all my bathroom cabinets as well as my basement built in (I painted some shaker ones and have wood fronts on others).
I loved the IKEA kitchen collections - they are much nicer than most IKEA stuff you get. The cabinet set I got it is holding up very well. Anyone that looks at pictures thinks it is high end and it was the cheapest quote I got while searching for kitchen cabinet across various companies. The deal included 5 stainless steel appliances. And as someone mentioned, go with good contractors. I LOVED the contractors that IKEA recommended - they installed the cabinets including an island etc in 2.5 days. They were fantastic!
Quality of IKEA cabinets is much better than the stock cabinets from Home Depot or Lowe’s. I have the white HD cabinets in two of my rental properties and they don’t hold up well.
Renovated out kitchen with IKEA kitchen last year, and very happy with the quality. However, as someone said, the quality and sturdiness depends on the line.
Best of both worlds is ikea cabinets and kitchen design + fancier fronts such as reform kitchen fronts. Costs a bit more but you get all the ikea functionality and smart design without that all too well known "ikea feel". I would say that their kitchens though are really good quality even if you go down the all ikea route (compared to their other stuff).
Ikea stuffs last long when they dont have to be moved. So kitchen cabinets should be fine. Just ensure you fix them properly and tight them again a few weeks in. Ideally, get ikea-recommended professionals to install them for you but this is quite straightforward to do it yourself, just be disciplined and thorough.

Last year I pitched some Ikea bookcases I bought 30 years ago. They were in various kids rooms and later relegated to my workshop. Nothing wrong with them, just upgraded my workshop.
Also have vanities and sinks in a bathroom, but this are only around 8 years old.
No complaints about any ikea cabinets I’ve had in rentals. Or any furniture items really; I haven’t gotten anything upholstered but all shelves etc have held up even through moves.
I have expensive custom oak cabinets in my kitchen now that started peeling paint less than a year in. I like the cabinets themselves but will be looking at stripping and staining at some point. Paint is a pita.
Go to wholesaler and find the cabinets you want. Can get equivalent price to ikea if you go direct and better quality wood on the cabinets themselves. We spent like 3k on cabinet material to redo kitchen and gave us everything we wanted. Home Depot was trying to charge us 30k for cabinets and install.
