Has anyone used the Done. ADHD service? I’ve been thinking about using it since my psychiatrist is never available and ADHD clinics around me seem so expensive.

I’m 27 and up for SM at midyear which would put me at 5.5 years from associate to sr manager and I feel like I’ve worked harder as a woman to get here (experience specific to my group). I’ve put things such as pursuing a relationship on hold to focus on my career but now I’m worried if I start taking time for myself it’ll get looked down on because I’ve already set a standard. How do you explain to an all male (and married) team that you need some time to actually start a life?

Hi All - I was diagnosed in May and started on Vyvanse which was effective when I reached 50mg but started to cause blood pressure issues. Now on 50mg Medikinet XL (methylphenidate) but it is not as effective. I can concentrate better than without but motivation remains quite low. I did try 60mg but felt over stimulated. Will of course speak to my psych, but wondering if anyone has any advice? Not sure my stims are as effective as they should be. Thanks!

I was diagnosed with ADHD at 35, along with Major Depression, likely have PTSD, and the potential for me to become bipolar is high. Moved cross country away from an abusive family situation. Fortunately, I have a great psychiatrist who has helped me understand and try to accept this new information. He is medicating me well, adjusting as needed, all after utilizing a DNA test to see what’s most effective for my physiology. The problem now, I’m afraid to try to work again. I don’t know who I am.

Does anyone else love having ADHD? Granted, it’s a love/hate relationship and I’m completely glossing over the ‘hate’ aspect but I absolutely appreciate how it’s taught me that I think differently. Further, I’m often able to give things fresh perspective or interject alternative viewpoints.

For those on anxiety meds 💊 I’m diagnosed with GAD as well as ADHD and my anxiety has become paralyzing lately. I’m worried that my anxiety will get better with meds but then my ADHD will get worse, since my anxiety helps me compensate for my ADHD symptoms. Does anyone have experience with this?

Any female consultant currently on stimulants planning to have kids in the next 1-2 years? Got diagnosed about 1 year ago and I started taking extended release since then. I am horrified that my career will crush as soon as I stop. In fact the thought of not being able to drink as much coffee as I need already scared me. Anyone been there?
