Has anyone waived into the NY Bar from California via D.C.? If so, I’d appreciate learning more about the process.

What? Does this really work? If so, I assume it doesn’t work the opposite way (waiving into CA via DC) since I’m pretty sure that CA doesn’t allow any waivers… But intrigued to learn that the other way is possible?

I would definitely double check, I know a lot of states require you to have been barred by examination in the jurisdiction you are using for reciprocity (so you can’t use a jurisdiction you waived into as the basis for waiving into their jurisdiction), but I’ve never looked specifically into NY waiver requirements since they’re a UBE jurisdiction, so if is definitely plausible what SC1 described is still in place as their alternative (most states I’ve looked at don’t require your years of experience be in a specific jurisdiction).

If you sat for the bar in DC didn’t you take the UBE you could just use for NY instead of trying to waive?

I have an upcoming interview and case study for a Credit Analyst position at a MM direct lending group. They're one of the biggest one in the space. Per my first interview with the MD, the case study is going to be "high level." They are recruiting out of Accounting So they know people aren't credit experts.

Can someone give my an idea of what I should expect in the case study? The whole virtual "super day" is 2h long with 3-4 interviews with various members of the group plus the case study.

Or a personal loan to pay off all the CC debt and then have a smaller all in one payment. I’m intelligent and I work in finance, it’s so embarrassing. HELP.
