Two at my old firm both left their spouses for each other. One left the firm shortly thereafter and the other was fired for unrelated reasons, primarily billing next to no hours. She was kind of a mess.

Associate dated a paralegal in another department. They got married, had a kid. He made partner. Both still worked there when I left a few years ago.
A married partner at my old firm had affairs with two different associates there. He’s divorced and all of them left the firm. What a mess.

I think it’s tacky esp if one of them is a higher up with some power ie partner or managing partner of an office or group etc
My partner and I work at the same firm. It’s a big firm and we work in different groups so we work together at all. No one cares and we’re certainly not the first but I can imagine it being trickier at a smaller firm or working in the same group.
This happens at my firm too - associates in different departments/practice groups will date. I never, ever see associates in the same group dating, though, hence my curiosity. I assume everyone avoids it because it could get messy (I certainly avoid it for that reason).
