This is for a Product Owner role, felt five interviews was excessive, especially the HR interview. Was told it was down to another candidate and I on 4/27 and final decision would be made on 5/2. Since, recruiter has ghosted me. Have feeling they offered to the other candidate.

Could just be my lack of understanding, but sounds like every feature is about optimizing for mobile experience. Whereas generalist PMs focus on core user problems and really hone in on those to build simple solutions, agnostic of platform.

started a new PM role 4 weeks ago only to realise that the entire PM function is done by various other people inside the department. I have tried bringing up the discussion with my line manager without making it into a complaint (since i’m so new, and i want to be flexible) but i’m getting the impression that even my manager doesn’t know what a PM is or does. (He asked me if the roadmap should sit with the scrum master amongst other comments)

Have the opportunity to join a startup consultancy as a Product Manager and move away from the big 4.

Going to be employee 15 as opposed to an org with ~650K employees.

Same pay. A LOT of growth opportunity. Less overall benefits, but I think the experience will net me out to be a Director in just a year or two within the org, and a lot of potential to move out from there.

I'm slightly terrified, but the team feels awesome, and they have some big clients.

I’m a JPM (1.5 YOE in 2 companies), background in projects management (5y - 1 company) . Happy with my role (4 months) and on a path to PM in 1y. WLB and comp are ok.

Now recruiters are calling with PM + 20/50% comp increase which is great. But I’m worried changing role could be premature and hinder my long term PM path.
