Acn taught me better problem solving and delivery skills. The big 4 audit firm taught me how to present my content really well. That being said...the big 4s ability to teach how to solve a problem or deliver a solution were criminally bad.
Went from EY to Accenture- agree with E1 totally. I wanted to work on more technical projects as I prepare to transition out to industry.
Was at D went to ACN. Had best 2 years so far. On track for promo, ton of ownership and less bureaucracy on projects
Worked for Accenture for many years, and now EY. Depends on what you're trying to get out of it. For tangible skills (technical, etc), Accenture seems to be the best. If it's presentations, strategy, talking to higher level executives, the choice is EY
@EY1 that's completely dependent on what group you're in. Accenture Strategy has come a long way since it's creation.
Grew up at Coopers & LYbrand which then merged with PWC before being sold (the consulting practices) to IBM. Wife comes out of Deloitte, Sister in Law is a partner at E&Y. Accenture has the best culture by far of what I've seen, but lots of advantages to the partnership model (particularly at SM & above) over the public company model. Truthfully advantages to both. Depends what you do and what you want to do. I do strategy, this is the right fit for me.
