I've had my resume assessed through some of the online tools but I found that it was more helpful to ask for tips during informational interviews with those currently in roles I'm aiming for. It's possible I could benefit from someone rewriting my resume, but there's something to say about learning how to do it yourself too.

I did and I felt like it was definitely worth it - saw a HUGE difference in interest/recruiters tbh
If you needed a professional cover letter then I could see the value of working with a resume writer or maybe if you needed assistance with a portfolio or something. But there are so many free online tools and templates I’m just not sure hiring a writer is worth the cost
