Has anyone here gotten rid of the annual review / annual performance eval? If so, how are you doing merit increases without the ratings?

My husband and I worked together at the same company for a year in different departments and they laid off 25 employees last week. My husband was one of them. 💔
It was dealt with poorly and severance benefits were bad compared to other companies we are seeing in the media. I’m really struggling to move forward and heal. The priority is for me to support him finding a new job but I just feel sick giving my time and energy to this company when they did this to us. any advice for strength😔

I get modeling a monthly income statement - how common is it to model out a monthly balance sheet / statement of cash flow? My annual balances but I am having a ton of trouble with my monthly CFS and balance sheet.. want to know if I will be yelled at for having a monthly (and annual) income statement and a yearly balance sheet and cfs

I work at a medical device manufacturing plant as a training coordinator, I have a military background and a degree and am trying to advance but am feeling stuck. It’s for an outsourced HR company where I would be HR/Payroll Manager for about 10 small to mid-size clients. Curious people’s thoughts on if this would be a step back career wise? I worry not working for a dedicated company could hurt my resume. My job titles before this were HR Business Partner, Recruiting Operations Lead and HR Specialist.

how are you all feeling about an org that is saying absolutely nothing about everything going on in the world. nothing about mental health awareness month, nothing about rowe v wade, nothing about inflation, etc but we are in the HR/Recruiting consulting realm and our clients are even asking us for guidance on these conversations .
