On today's call I'm asked a question directly by the client and I have two other people jump in and talk over me and give a different answer for me. Teamwork at its finest.
Raising risks (that are quickly being issues) without project leadership taking notice...feels like yelling 'ICEBURG' on a ship and nobody changing course...time to jump in a lifeboat?
Received negative feedback from my manager for the first time, I’ve been working for a few months now and this is the first time it’s happened; over arching theme was quality of work and communications etc. feel really shitty about it and I’m not sure how to deal - any fellow female fishies have words of advice or anecdotal insights, did you manage to turn it around? I really want to do a good job and take this very seriously - def want to leave the project on good terms with the manager
First world problem: project now requires me grab rental car when I'm in client city. Can't get tanked on my flight anymore :(
Anyone else scrambling to finish up a project in lieu of last weekend being an absolute drunken blur?
BTA at Deloitte vs Strategy at ZS? Associate level interested in healthcare/health tech but not really life sciences. ZS culture seems like a better fit + pay is more competitive (around 15k more), but wondering if I should go with Deloitte for project opportunities more aligned to my interests. Any advice/insights would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!
Writing my CRT summary page now, when giving examples of the accomplishment, should I include project/client name or not?? Giving this is internal discussion between RP and HR? Any thoughts?
Rolling off a project. Anyone have some local Washington DC area roles or remote or low travel to NYC ... ping ! Staffit sucks
Senior: your bill isn't worth as much as mine so spend more time learning the 1120 & the schedules. Also senior: why did you charge so much to this client? I think you need to keep better track... 🙃
Whats a typical MBB experienced hire Project/Case/Engagement Manager/Leader Signing Bonus?
Has anyone had a “part-time secondment” where they were at the client a couple days a week instead of full time? Interested in experiences. Thanks!
I have 4 positions to fill with a client. The client is seeking a REMOTE Software Engineer, this is a direct hire role. 2 mid levels and 2 jr levels. Please send resumes to email@example.com
I have come to a point where I can’t stand with the boring work at my current company. 2 years of mostly administrative type of work (project-driven) here were just a total waste of to time... Any advice on how I build up my resume if I want to stay in consulting (REAL consulting)? What obstacle I should expect? Truly appreciate any advice/thoughts. Thanks!
Barbour jacket at the client site, yes or no?
My team has started ignoring my messages. I’m not sure what I did; I’ve been getting good feedback on my performance, I don’t message excessively often, and I don’t think I’ve done anything to cause social discomfort. The project is busy, but honestly workloads have been lighter than they used to be because we brought in additional resources, so that doesn’t explain the shift in communication styles. I used to feel like a useful team member but now I feel like an annoyance. What should I do?
Just moved to London and looking for Client Service roles or just networking at either advertising or design agency. Any advice / thought / intros would be greatly appreciate!
The CIO on my project called me a saint today for dealing with her difficult people. 😇😟 At least I'm not the only one who thinks they are challenging! #Sainthood
When everyone at the client keeps on saying "it's Friday" and all I want to say is "shut the F up, it's not Friday for us".
Raise your hand if you've almost spilled coffee on yourself while purposely ignoring a beautiful girl in the hallway only so that she thinks that you have shit goin on in your life
Currently an OCM Associate with 2.5 YOE in consulting & 1 YOE experience in sales and going up for promotion to SA in May/June. Received a Senior Consultant offer from Cognizant that puts TC about 35-40% higher than current TC. Has anyone worked in the OCM practice at Cognizant / have any thoughts about growth, current TC vs offer, etc?
I’m pregnant and have been at my job for a few months to qualify for the state family leave which is only 4 weeks. I’m wondering what others have done to prolong their maternity leave when starting a new job.
What is your year end holiday plan, if any?
Pregnant and went for root canal treatment today. Just as the doc was finishing the procedure, I puked 🤮 my guts out. So embarrassed 😩
Interviewing for a MBA program with two bankers. Not from a banking background or interested in banking. Thoughts? Recommendations? Advice?
Hello everyone! I have been contacted by this recruiting agency called CGC (Career group companies) and they ask to complete some paperworks on their site even before the interview with their recruiters. In my past experience, if I remember well, you fill paperworks only after you have been selected to start the assignment, so I am a little worried about this. What do you advice? Do you know if they are going to prevent me to be hired by companies directly just because I am in their system?
Sometimes being rolled off is like being led to the slaughter - you shouldn’t let the poor creature know what’s coming... 🙈🔫
It is going to be fascinating to see how we view the fighting over school mask mandates in 20-30 years once we have more historical context and perspective. It’s so crazy to me how divisive that question has become, whether students should have to mask
Anyone else have an issue with their SLP benefit? My loan provider reduced my monthly payment this month by $100 bc of the Gradifi payment, instead of applying the $100 on top of what I already pay.
Those of you with a toddler - what do you do when you go on vacation in terms of getting around? I really don't want to rent a car because prices are absurd now, but seems impossible to use any kind of ride sharing.
I have an offer at a PE-backed healthtech company growing 30% a year, as VP of strategy reporting to CEO. 1 year after series B round, revenues at ~20-25M. I am excited but comp is less than expected. 175K base, 20% bonus, equity options worth 60K-180K annually (60 if valuation doubles in 5 yrs, 180 if it triples, very little if does not double and 5yr vesting). Who can help benchmark? I hear I could push base up, hesitating how much... and what is signing bonus standard?
What’s the best choice benefit for delta platinum? I thought you got lounge access but guess I was wrong !
