A flight risk, as if. There's no way Donald J Trump could go anywhere without making a big entrance even on a private jet, the guy likes attention. So it isn't like he would be hard to track down. They're just trying to intimidate him into not running for President again
The don't think he'll skip town, they just want to control him by taking away his freedom to travel. It's just a power play that has nothing to do with just cause or reasonable suspicion, but he has made some pretty formidable enemies (whether rightfully or not) and they want him to feel like they're looking over his shoulder.
It seems to me that it would be standard procedure whenever they are investigating someone. The law applies to everyone even if they are rich and used to be president
I'm just really surprised that they haven't even told us what they were looking for. Confidential documents? Illegally obtained money? Evidence of treason? It seems like whatever it was, they should have told us what they hoped to find (and if they found it or not)
Isn't anyone a flight risk if they own private jets? The only way to prevent him from fleeing would be to freeze his accounts, and I don't see how they could justify that kind of thing at this stage in the game.
Why would anyone have three passports anyway...? I thought everyone just needed one of them? I guess you can see how much travelling I do, but this part of the story just sounds weird
