Has it happened to anyone here ?
I am currently 27 weeks pregnant.
I got a job as a contractor for a big company about two weeks ago and did not inform them about my pregnancy.
What do you think their answer will be when I mention I'm pregnant? I'm trying to evaluate all the possible scenarios.
And when do you think I should inform them? Now, in a little while, or one month before my EDD?
Thank you so much!
Just found out we are pregnant! So excited but getting married in W7 and going on our honeymoon W8. What kind of morning sickness should I be expecting? I'm W5 right now and feel nauseous but no vomiting yet.
Okay so posting this incident of my friend....
He is a software engineer with a leading Investment bank in Bengaluru with almost 6 yoe and having a decent package of 35 lpa. His parents were looking for a matching bride through a matrimonial site and found a match.
The girl as well as her father told the boy that the girl is earning more than 40 lpa with 3 yoe and he is not a match for them. Neverthless, interesting move was that the Manager of the girl was a close friend of boy ..
Do we think Omicron has peaked enough that there is no longer a 100% chance you contract it indoors? For reference, I have a baby, am in NJ, and have to report back to work on Friday this week. Nervous to give it to my son and then have no childcare for 10 days of quarantine.
My mom got in to an accident. 100% the other persons fault. Had he hit her a split second later he would have hit her driver side door directly. T-bone accident. Anyway, I am helping her with the claim against the other drivers insurance. Do you see any disadvantage or negative from me telling the adjuster that it is my mother? I want the highest offer possible—obviously—and she doesn’t want to file suit. Wondering if you have any insight as to whether o should or shouldn’t tell the adjuster.TIA
Mom 🐠 When did you tell your firm you were pregnant? Is it reasonable to wait for promotion decisions to come out if you're up for promo?
I had one query regarding HRA exemption.
I am staying with my family in a rented property, Bangalore. But the rental agreement was made by my father on my father's name. So i heard Deloitte will not accept rental agreement in the name of father? If yes then can we have any other option to send bank statements or rent receipts?
Or rental agreement mandatory even after showing bank receipt and rent receipts?
Those who have a trust passed to you, when did you get it and what did you do with it? Lost one parent when I was a teen and now am 25 and have a trust with some money. Not life changing but my other parent does not ‘trust’ my sister and I with it. I work in consulting and she is in PE. When is it appropriate to get access to it? I’m trying to simply my finances before my own gets confusing. What’s best way to convince my parent about this? I would just throw it at s&p, REITs, buy a home
Me: Yeah, we don’t actually have an Asian child voice actor available in the next 20 minutes... we could line something up next week, for an additional cost?
I should be more sensitive but I think it's fucked up to start a new job and tell your boss after a week that you will be out on maternity leave in 4 months.
I’m a month into a new job where no one has time to spend training me. Week 1 I am told by my ‘mentor’ “it’s not my job to spoon-feed you” when asking understanding questions. A month in I’ve had 2 hours of training. No one at the company has time for anyone else. My boss said “better get your running shoes on” after explaining my my “mentor” is going on vacation and the only other team member is leaving on maternity. People dodge and run from responsibilities here. Should I run away?
