This posting makes me think about free will. It is a fascinating; peculiar and wounderous thing. My only advice to all of you, either hunkered down at home fearing the end of times or those of you out and about going about life without a care in the world... this too shall pass, it always does. Our parents and grandparents had to endure much harsher circumstances circumstances without near the technology and infrastructure we have (think small pox, polio, swine flu and world wars)... and yet here we are....
Stay safe and stay healthy. One begets the other...
"This too shall pass." Sure. if you're young, healthy, and can afford adequate supplies and healthcare it probably will. But for the others - your grandparents, the poor, your friend with an autoimmune deficiency - this won't just "pass." They might die. Be mindful of the effect this has on more than just yourself and do your part for their sake.
All the bars and restaurants are closed where i live. You can order take out but from all the travel i prefer to cook and get ahead on eating healthy. If i feel like I’m going stir crazy I’ll go for a walk at the end of my day and keep my distance if i see others walking. Just trying to remain healthy, clean everything, wash my hands, and stay away from the older demographic that it’s effecting the most!
Yes - I don’t want to risk getting it and passing it to someone else who may be greatly affected by it. Staying home is really not the worst thing in the world, so if a little bit of effort on my end can help the greater social good - why not?
That being said, I have bought gift cards from some of my fav neighborhood spots to help offset the lack of revenue they’re dealing with!
It just amazes me that when you post something on this site, such as this topic, sharing something positive, that there is always one person who has to judge, correct, or argue with the post.
No, but I have used it as an excuse to bail on events I didn't want to go to.
Same.
Nope. I refuse to let this change my life. If it’s my time to go so be it
Oh my Jesus Christ! People are dying from the virus. People are dying from saving the infected people. People are dying from not able to make a living because of business shutdown. K4, grow up. You are not only you in this situation.
Some of the lackadaisical comments here make me so depressed. So many people unwilling to make a small sacrifice for the greater good, for our parents, grandparents, the immunocompromised, and those unable to make the sacrifices we can. We make good money and have the privilege of doing our small part and so many people just don’t care.
SMALL SACRIFICE!!!??? Are you kidding??? For many you just told them they can no longer pay rent, buy food, or get other necessities! Talk about selfish!
I left my house a couple hours ago to get lunch at Panda Express. Biggest mistake I've made in a long time, and it had nothing to do with coronavirus.
Lmao ty for this
No - I’m an absolute gym addict unfortunately and would not be able to stay out. Just hoping to wash my hands as frequently as I can and wish for the best.
Equinox says one empty machine between people. I still don’t feel comfortable going given with my family members being high risk and an infant.
Yes. I haven't been to the gym in 10 days including the pool. Also not going out to crowded places either.
KPMG13 that is just half of my garage the other half is for my car and it is paved. I keep the other side open because it's a nice view and feels great to be in the fresh air ☺️
I only go outside to get groceries
Biggest change is that I’ll probably grow a beard now.
Yay for beards :)
Yes
Yes.
I’m not losing my mind over the virus but limiting my family’s exposure in the near term seems like a reasonable precaution.
Yes... I go to gym around 3am and there’s hardly anyone there .... and then I wfh and only go to groceries if needed.
C14 ... I agree. I use gloves when using the equipment (workout gloves). I open the door with a tissue or paper towel. Lol all this cautionary is making me burn my brain calories as well... lol my wife thinks I’m going nuts 😂🤷🏻♂️
But gotta do what I gotta do to stay safe and healthy.
Yeah because I developed a cough and had a temp of 103-104 starting Friday... had a flu shot Monday but I’m not risking infecting anyone
Feel better!!
No but I am canceling my Costa Rica trip
Panama is not doing adequate testing in order to accurately represent number of actual cases.
Fixed that for you :)
Yes. Stay home people!
Honestly not really. I'm washing my hands and using hand sanitizer constantly, and I cancelled my trip to Europe. But I'm worried about the economy. I still went to get my hair done at a salon today. The stylist told me she hopes people still come because otherwise she makes no money at all. I sanitize my hand after every interaction. I'm trying to diversify where I go if I'm going to go out and I want to be better about just going to mom and pops shops. I'm extremely cognizant of the importance of social distancing. But what if we could also make positive change going out and spending some money being very cautious while doing so?
We love personal growth!!

Kpmg1 no answer to a real question says it all
Yes, only out for groceries
I’m mostly a hermit anyway, so this suits me 😂. Not going out to eat much, occasional bar to stay sane. I haven’t gone to the gym but that’s because I have a Peloton in my basement.
