Has there been any mass layoffs at Toronto agencies of late?

I was “terminated” from one of the shitty IT conglomerates from India today. for no reason at the same time I’m furious because I have documented all the discrimination , sexism, harassment, labor laws broken, intimidation tactics , harassment of various kinds including sexual, so I am demanding a larger severance package the. What they offered which was nothing. I have documented all proof of this. They have consistently set me up in situations designed for me to fail.

In discussion with manager told that, Be confident with you skills during recession time, He discussed about recession and firing in other companies..Is it a early indication about layoffs.Its a product based company

I have received an offer from Wissen for the client Morgan Stanley at Mumbai.. I was recently laid off from Publicis Sapient.... There is news that Morgan Stanley is planning to lay off people in the coming weeks. Is it good to consider this offer? Are there any layoffs going at wissen?

I have an opportunity working for my dream company but I was told my salary expectations were too high. I was using my last job as a reference since this is a lateral move (I was laid off a few weeks ago). Was I overpaid or is this company just cheap?

Former TC: ~140k (125k base + 30k sign-on paid over 2 years + 50k RSUs w/4 years to vest)

Currently in a full time role at an RPO but have a potential offer in house on a 6-9 month contract with strong possibility of conversion at Hubspot. Pay is $15k higher than I make now. Would it be a bad decision to take the contract / contract to hire? I don’t doubt my ability to get converted, but the entire market is seeing huge layoffs so it makes me a little nervous. Thoughts?

Hi! I am trying to conduct some competitive analysis specifically on a set of metrics (e.g. latency) for the purpose of benchmarking.
The challenge here is that most of these metrics are not public, so I'm curious how others may have approached similar initiatives. I think some anecdotal data points can be gathered through the sales team but such data obviously comes with a tone of caveats on accuracy.

Here is my issue. I left my firm this summer for an opportunity I should have known was to good to be true. I realized it wasn’t what I was led to believe. Was able to return to my old firm. The return was “a favor”. But includes conditions. I am not happy, and need a change and honestly more money now rather than in 6-8 months. I knew it would be ruff when I went back but I didn’t expect it to be this ruff. Is my recent history gonna be a huge hurdle to even get an interview?

I saw that one of the traffic sources for a recent YouTube video we shared is “YouTube Advertising” even though we haven’t put paid support into it. When I asked the person featured in the video if his team had anything to do with it, he said that they’ve been promoting it on YouTube with paid efforts. How is this possible? Why do senior folk (typically in leadership roles) truncate their experience at junior levels on LinkedIn to only feature the highest title that they achieved during their tenure at x agency?  

E.g. 6 years as an Account Director, despite it being their first gig in advertising/ever.
