Groceries up. Amazon Fresh tips up. Slightly higher Door dash/GrubHub purchases. Commuting expenses zero. Dry cleaning zero. New makeup/skincare zero. Assuming I don't get laid off, this has actually been good for my finances.
Groceries up, dining out down. No random purchases. Decreased Amazon. My CC is so-oo-ooo-o happy.
Not buying anything but food and a few personal care items. Trying to find some extra ways to donate. Cutting other spending (suspended parking lease, stopped extra on loan payments, etc.)
I do want to treat myself to some new lounge wear soon, but not until I see a good sale on what I want. Not overly concerned about a lay-off, but saving as much as possible.
I’m literally laughing as I sit at my desk at my nasty gal lounge wear I got 50% off
Grocery bill has gone up. Impulse buying has gone down
Going back and forth with buying a bicycle so I can get out and get some fresh air. I’m in telecommunications so my job is sort of secure. Just can’t get myself to do it.
Impulse buying down except for some sweat pants. Restaurant, bar, and public transit expenses...zero.
Yes, more Bourbon 🥃
Grocery expenses are up, alcohol expenses are about level (getting more at the liquor store for the same price of the bars), and commuting costs are nonexistent.
Cooking a lot more. Significant drop in takeout.
Went all out and bought flooring and equipment for a home gym 😳. But other than that, spending is down 😂.
I will once the delivery of equipment arrives!
Literally haven't purchased anything in 6 days. Though my insurance, phone bill, etc. get auto drawn from my account
Net/net down, but not by much. Less takeout, more groceries, no dry cleaning or gas, probably higher electricity and heat since I’m at home all day, and some impulse purchases to keep me sane although nothing over $150
Bought a laptop, a desktop, dual monitors, an iPad and Apple Pencil. Signed a lease for office space. Bought some business cards. My spending is a bit high because I chose to start my own firm :)
Way down—I have (had, I guess) an embarrassingly large restaurant habit, which is now zero. No food truck lunches is also saving real money. Of course, my retirement account just got decimated, and I have to deal with my own subpar cooking...
Same here. Pro tip: I bought a sous vide cooker. It’s a low hassle way to feed yourself: 1. buy meat/fish: 2. put it in a ziplock freezer bag; 3. When needed, take bag straight out of freezer and drop into sous vide pot; 4. Press button; 5. Wait for it to cook; 6. Empty bag onto plate and eat.
Food, pet food, some new toys and a water fountain for my cat (lol idk why since she always shelters in place), I bought a yeti mug. No dry cleaning, no work clothes, no shoes. Saving more.
Ive been trying to spend more locally than I normally do
Food up. Booze is even. Random stuff is down except video games. I’m getting more delivery now for sure and tipping more.
Groceries and entertainment related expenses are up. Overall, saving about one hundred extra a week on food costs by not eating out.
Groceries up. Last week was a spending bonanza. Had to buy a work station (i.e. dining table and chairs, small rolling desk) and some new running shoes, cat food... anticipate groceries will stay up, but otherwise, nothing on makeup, brows, clothes...
No more restaurant delivery, but spending way more on groceries and cooking. Covid fashion sales were pretty great so I’m doing all I can to buoy the retail industry. Jokes aside, I have a lot of family furloughed in that industry so I am allowing myself to shop sales more freely especially while saving on going out or ordering in.
One time bulk purchase of things I otherwise would not have like some home gym equipment, desk for home office setup etc. groceries and takeout expenses basically the same. Obviously no more random three figure dinner/bar nights.
Literally nothing but groceries, bills, and liquor. On day 15 of confinement. Thank god for instacart.
Oh and chromebooks for my kids so they can do school from home.
