Why scared to leave? Today was my last day and I am so ecstatic
Maybe I'd rather be stuck than sad
Happy for you! It's hard for me to not be at least a little timid, I feel like I only ever hear people say you get stuck if you leave
Hmm. My favorite senior's final day was today...
You can always come back
Put in my two weeks today
^ lol I hope you're referring to me PwC 2!
Generally you are stuck if you leave. You go from being the pretty girl at the dance to...draw your own conclusion.
Been there. I was stuck AND sad. Try to hold out for the best exit opportunity.
@EY4 - 4 years left as senior. Really do miss it at times. If I had my CPA I would have most likely stayed alittle longer but really didn't want to be manager. I'm glad I did leave when I did because going private opened my eyes to how much real accounting work we miss out on.
I wasn't afraid to leave, left, and now I want back. Do I regret it? Of course not! Live and learn. It's your life - don't be afraid to see if you like something better.
Also OP I hear you on that, I know a lot of people end up coming back, etc. I agree if you don't know specifically what you want to do I'd stay a bit. You'll get a ton of experience in a lot of different areas, industries, service lines, etc when you are with the big4. But if you've made the decision of what you want to do and you see the opportunity for it I wouldn't be afraid to go after it.
@pwc1 congrats!! Enjoy the life
Agreed with the above post - hold out for the best opportunity/employer - that way even if you get stuck at least it's a great place to be!
I left this year too and during my downtime always think about coming back
Really KMPG 1? How many years in PA when you left?
