I was advised to send an email and a handwritten note. The person I interviewed with is probably in her 50s.

Anyone have any advice for an associate with one YOE and barred in PA and NJ on finding a new job in general corporate/M&A? Trying to make the switch to a big law firm in Philadelphia and, after having worked with a couple recruiters for months, have only done a few interviews and no offers. Is there anything different that I should be doing? Could anyone refer me to a firm that is looking for a general corporate/M&A associate? Thank you I’m advance.

What strategy does a suggest to apply to investors or when investing?

Dollar-cost averaging is one of the easiest techniques to boost your returns without taking on extra risk, and it’s a great way to practice buy-and-hold investing. Dollar-cost averaging is even better for people who want to set up their investments and deal with them infrequently. It’s one of the most powerful and easy investment strategies and it’s great for individual investors.

How do you get better at contract negotiations? (I’m a 4th yr. in commercial real estate) I feel like I’m generally good at pulling together an initial draft of an agreement (ex PSAs)...but I struggle when comments come back. Specifically, I struggle with reading newly proposed language & deciding what stays, what goes, & what needs to be tweaked. Are there books I can read (or CLEs I can watch) to get better at this?

How do those of you that consistently bill 180+ hours a month stay motivated to be productive at that pace? I’ll have 1-3 50-60 billable hour weeks and then I will crash and have a week where I’m exhausted and unmotivated to bill more than 30 hours.
