Hi everyone! Anyone in PwC’s Value Creation able to help and discuss qualifications required? I’m looking for a role in which I can use my Ops and manufacturing background for topics such as supply chain, cost reduction, performance improvement and Six Sigma to help increase value. I’m looking at the experienced associate level - could anyone refer if there is a match and or need? Also, is this Advisory or Strategy&? Thank you all! PwC

I would recommend the Big 4. I know pay is same or less that what you expect, but you are lateraling in, so it is just a start. If you want the experience and the brand recognition in the SC space, I recommend those firms.
MBB pay more but their SC work is more limited, regardless of what they say.
Take the offer, going for 2-4 years, get a promotion and hop back out to industry at a much higher level.
Also, within the big 4 - make sure you get a very clear picture on how you will be trained, staffed and introduced around the practice. You are not automatically staffed. You basically have to cold email and get intros to partners that have proposals or projects they could staff you on. And this is hard bc you are a lateral hire from industry vs homegrown.
Thank you for your perspective. I have a great WLB that I am willing to forego and put in those 50-60 hrs or more in consulting. Also, my current place has promised a 35k retention bonus if I stay one more year. Factoring in the 401k loss, the 35k retention and the almost 20k yearly bonus that I am scheduled for next year, I was hoping for a better offer from D. Again not something that covers the whole lot but something that makes it worth it. Frankly, was bummed to decline D but didn't want to be financially frustrated. Also, it maybe too late with D for now since I have declined. I will keep looking out in B4.
I did exactly what you’re doing. I came in as a Senior Consultant bc of no consulting experience (same pay) but set the expectation that I wanted to be PAM within a year and we setup a plan to get me there. I did my part, company honored their promise. I’m 100x better off now than I was in industry. Full disclosure, I worked extra hard that one year to make sure I got where I felt was fair.
Sorry not sure what PAM is but did check on with recruiter on promo. They made it clear that it will be impossible next year since I would begin late this year. Also, yearly bonus could be 0 to X. All those things didn't make me comfortable. But will keep my quest on. I am sure something will work.
