Believe that’s the minimum to have in order to talk to a financial advisor at vanguard. Might be better off doing that, if you don’t want to simply throw in an index fund.

Invest all of it in Amazon. All of it.

Seeking portfolio advice. 23 years old- 95k comp, 20k currently in market through the most basic Schwab index funds and Vanguard ETF’s, already max out 401k & IRA. My returns over the past year have been meager. I want to take on more risk and pick more concentrated investments. Whatever I go with, I want to hold them for the long run with no intention to sell. Any advice?

Hi! I have a few questions on the backdoor Roth in which I’ve done a bit of research online. When it comes tax time, will my 401k vendor (Merrill) give me the correct documents? I’ve just used turbo tax in the past but am worried of any documents I may be missing to adjust any tax. Also- when does the pro-rata rule come into play? I’m just nervous in the entire process as this is my first year doing this. TIA!!

Or are these future considerations?

Need some advice in a strategic exit. Looking for the best time to tell current employer that I’ve accepted another offer (will likely be terminated in a day or 2 once told). With benefits typically ending month end, and I’m hoping to get a month off of working (start in Jan), should I tell them on 12/1? My thought is that would allow me to retain benefits through holiday and use free holidays for Thanksgiving to get me through end of month. Anything else I should consider?

Can you negotiate your time in the company? What I mean is say 401k vesting / matching happens in two year or vacation increases a week for someone with 3 years can I be credited with a year served in the system so that I can vest faster. I understand everything is in a system, so can they do a plus one to my count? I am doing this in case they come in at the low end of salary and can't raise salary. Could use some structural layout help for a deliverable: Creating a one-page report that reflects a product offering, its benefits, and its significance (the ‘so what’) - currently only having multiple bullet points for each as the content, but think it’s not suitable aesthetically for a presentation. Any suggestions for how I should best format it for exec management? This isn’t a PPT.

Asking this question here for a reason. In our culture and set up, a majority of the time is spent in cooking. We usually don’t eat microwave meals.
