Hi fishes, my friend recently had a bitter experience with Dish Network. So her profile was shortlisted and they asked few questions over email. It did take good 2hrs to answer and she replied back. HM said we are good to go for interview and sent an invite. On the day of interview nobody turned up, neither they gave an update later. She did follow up for a couple of days but no response. Is there any reason why this happens ? Me being in HR field felt this to be a little unprofessional.

Currently staffed on an extremely technical project. So I record the meetings and then re-watch it to capture all the important points. Any tips on how I can do this simultaneously during the call or fine tune my process so I don’t have to spend hours on the recordings?

What is the bonus structure at your firm? I work at an IP boutique in patent and trademark prosecution. Our billable is 1850, which sounds nice except that patent prosecution is done on fixed fee so you can only bill so many hours per project. Bonus structure is gross salary divided by 1850 times hours over. So ex, $95 hourly x hours over 1850 and then taxed.
