I'm currently serving notice period and had taken some sick leaves. Now the supervisor has escalated this to HR on the grounds productivity loss and all. HR is saying the LWD will be extended to compensate those sick leaves and asked me to check with my supervisor as they can't do anything.
Both the supervisor and the HR are intending to extend my LWD.

Very lean team with very little support.

I applied for a job based on the job description and now have an interview with the Recruiter in the next couple of days. In preparation for the interview I did some research and have serious concerns about the company. E.g., most of the most recent Glassdoor reviews describe the company as a "sinking ship" with poor benefits and poor leadership.

I have an interview next week and want to vet the new law firm with questions to determine if there’s a good work-life balance, respect for how work is delegated (i.e., attorneys are not routinely asked to do obvious paralegal work), and what overall systems/structures are in place to make it a functional/successful environment. What sorts of questions do you think would get this info and also cut through the usual bs of “we’re a family here” when in reality no one talks to each other?

I am interviewing at another company for a HR Generalist Contract position at Adobe and when they asked me what my pay expectations are, I asked them what their pay range and expectations were for this role. She let me know she was unable to tell me, yet still wanted me to give an answer. Do you believe that’s fair? Does anyone else feel that we’re being told “everyone is hiring” but no one is ACTUALLY hiring? More so, putting people through the ringer then saying “we’re on a hiring freeze/position put on hold”. People are not just candidates you put in your back pocket for a rainy day as much as agency’s may think they’re doing a justice by adding you to the “pipeline”.
