If I wanted to get into M&A as a HR practitioner and not make a move to consulting how would I go about that? Any success stories from HR pros that got into M&A activities for their org?

Please humor me. I’m an Intel analyst (12 years total IC and counter-Intel experience), masters degree in applied Intel, and 8.5 years of military Intel (enlisted Air Force). I’ve been a Gov contractor and gov civilian. Switched to FFRDC data analytics and finding it might not be for me. I’d rather not go back to being a traditional contractor as the uncertainty of employment was not ideal for me and my family. Anyone have any options/ideas for me?

New Senior 3 here, I am unsure what I should try to specialize in out of the FAAS offerings. They all sound pretty interesting, and it seems like most manager+ level are aligned with a service pillar. Which of the below would provide best exit opp / pay?

Venting. Got hired on FT at a large in-house in NY. Every project I have been assigned to is due immediately, already late, and has no direction. Every project is supremely animation heavy with some hand painted animations… all out of my wheelhouse. None of this was mentioned in my interviews and no one seems to understand why a video editor does not have experience hand painting animations. Seems like a special skill set that should have been discussed before hiring. Confused and burnt out.
