Most places require you to stay in a role for a specific amount of time before you can transfer (usually 6 months - a year). Just make sure you're aware of this before making your decision.

Started at G in a role I didn’t like to get my foot in the door. Took a couple of years but got to where I wanted to be, happy, good WLB, and making way more money than I deserve. I’d take the role if I were you

I’d take the offer and see where it takes you. You could end up liking it more or make that transfer after the required period of time has passed. Sounds like a great opportunity to start your career!

I really need advice please. I’m a newly promoted S1 in Tax & I’m extremely conflicted. I really wouldn’t mind staying till manager. While I work extremely long hours, I find the work interesting & I enjoy working with my team. I don’t plan on having kids for a while so I really just want to do the best to put myself in a position where I will be the most successful in the long term. People who left at manager, do you think it helped or hindered you by staying that long?

Why are people forced to be tracked into their career path immediately after undergrad? The working world is so unfriendly to career switchers. Why is someone with a couple years of experience in another industry immediately seen as an unworthy candidate that shouldn’t even be offered an entry level position?
