I am working at MSLGROUP as an Associate, less than 1 yoe , they have asked me to relocate in 4 weeks to the Location (currently wfh).
Also I have an offer from one of the competitors based in my City.
Relocating will shoot up my expenses and joining the competitor is kind of a downgrade in terms of brand.
What do you think guys?
Hi All,
I have 7 years of experience in total in SAP Integration technology and I have been offered C2 manager position with Capgemini with a package of 30.5 LPA.
Is it good to join? Can I still contribute technically at C2 role? Or would it be pure managerial role? Also please let me know how much variable pay would be paid at this role? I have around 2.8L variable per year as a part of the package.
Any pointers will be highly appreciated Capgemini

Sheesh. For 107k in DC, they better not expect you to break your back at work
Then again I wouldn't say I was breaking my back at work 🤣
Also going through the same thought process rn but for NYC.
Alternative, I'm considering moving to a third, lower cost city for the time being until we're actually back in office.
My thinking, though we have a back to office plan in September, I doubt the COVID situation will get much better until next April.
Any idea which city would make sense to make the move to? Why is home not an option?
Your salary is fine but I would highly consider renting in VA (not Arlington) maybe Falls church, Alexandria with available public transit route to DC. DC/Arlington is just too overhyped with high crime rate for that premium cost of living in my opinion.
Check along the silver/orange metro lines and see how long you are willing to commute. The further out the cheaper generally
