Best tech strat/planning departments? (or creative agency unicorns that have solid pay and balance?) I can’t take it anymore — horribly underpaid and overworked, sick of the holding company bullshit, mental health is suffering. I don’t want to give up on strategy but I can’t keep waiting around for my company (and the agency world) to change. Where do I go ?
What could be some good courses/certifications for a Healthcare Life sciences Strategy Consultant? Thanks!
Probably not the best place for this, but if you lease a vehicle, do you also get gap insurance? Why or why not
Few basic questions for buying a car in Virginia - How does the property tax work? (How much is it for a 25-35K car? Is it per driver or per car? ) - On a larger scheme of things, Is it cheaper to buy or lease a car? - If more than one person drives a car, do we need insurance for both?
Second year associate at a mid size firm. I was approached today about moving from the firm’s insurance defense to coverage. Has anyone made this transfer? Looking for any and all advice.
If we had an advertising union no one would be worried if their projects paused right now because they would have health care and a weekly stipend if laid off. Unionize now!
Finally able to afford healthcare & time off work after years of pain. Doc tells me my body has experienced irreversible degeneration. My heart breaks for lower class Americans who can't afford help.
27, got life insurance and disability insurance when I was 24. Not sure I jumped the gun there. Feels like I am just paying and not sure I need to. Have rental income, w2 income, and investing in stock market right now. Thoughts?
96% of physicians are vaccinated yet <50% of nurses are. What do you think is causing this discrepancy in vaccination rates? https://www.forbes.com/sites/judystone/2021/06/28/covid19-vaccination-rates-are-poor-among-healthcare-workershow-can-we-do-better/
Besides decently high pay (compared to other countries), freedom (speech, voting, "opportunities"), diversity (primarily coastal states), what are some other good things about America? Wanna be grateful, but America's deepest flaws have really been exposed this past year (racism, government inefficiencies, struggling health care systems, expensive health care, gun violence, poor grade school education systems...). Don't see these getting better anytime soon
I need some time off for mental health reasons (painful break up). Problem is i am not close with anyone at work and would feel pretty awkward talking about it. Also my team is really busy and we are already scrambling to meet deadlines. How do I approach this?
When are we supposed to submit reimbursement for health benefits? (Gym, treadmill, etc...)

What are the benefits of adding a spouse to your insurance? Already have dependents to it would move to family if I added my spouse who is in between jobs but will start a bee one next month. I’m going to have a week without health insurance due to lateraling. Current firm won’t extend. Should I ask the new firm if coverage is retroactive? How do others handle this situation?
Anyone seen the FT article on whistleblowers at the big 4 - pretty damning read and very focused on workplace sexual harassment and bullying:
Can I get an honest view of the reputation of Accenture vs Oliver Wyman? I have an offer with 40% base increase, potentially 50% TC increase and I'm a bit worried about making the jump - especially since I'm homegrown Accenture. Down the line I wish to pursue MBA from M7 and wonder if either would have a better impact on my application?
Hey guys. I’m the event planner for CLSA at my law school and was wondering if anybody is willing to be on a panel regarding ethics during the coronavirus regarding the way confidential information is sent and received, how you guys use zoom for depositions or any ethical challenges you’ve come across during this time. I'm so fed up with the casual sexism of my mom. Last night, she was worried about my sister whose husband doesn't have "the same earning potential" as my brothers 1, 2, and 3, all named individually, so "she will always be poor". When I pointed out that she compared my sister only to my brothers, I earn more than them, and both my sister and I are at top firms in our fields, she said, "...mm". Later she said how happy I am when I'm not working and I should quit to raise kids (no kids yet)
I hate it when designers do this, it feels superfluous and self-important. I’ve seen these with the Fibonacci ratio layered over them and it’s just ridiculous to me.
My H1B got approved last October and I haven't gotten my visa stamped. The I797 says that it will be valid till Oct 2022. Now, i am planning to go for my masters now and probably will come out of school by May 2023. Will have to reenter the H1 lottery? Or can i use this approved petition to get a stamping then?
What is the average time from sending in resume to a big law firm via a recruiter (lateraling) to hearing back good or bad for an interview?
Deciding between UT-Austin, Cornell and UCLA for tech. Scholarships aside, I love texas culture having lived there for a few summers but its the lowest rank on my list. UCLA has one of the best pipelines for tech but I’m not rich and dont know anyone in LA so would i feel left out given the affluence of the area ? And cornell I loved the student body and the inclusive tight knit nature but do they place well in the west for tech? Can anyone help? Thank you!

Just curious...for those that work at Facebook, Twitter, TikTok, social media companies...how do you limit your screen time? Are you so sick of social media at work that you don’t care about it when you get home? Do you let your kids have access?
