Not sure if anyone who’s not in the ACN bowl will be able to read this (let me know if not, and I’ll send screenshots). But.. it’s concerning how many people don’t know what a micro aggression is. Not referring to OP who asked for examples, but the actual responses are so loud and wrong.
Anyone recently traveled from India to US using any other airline than United? Please share experience. TIA.
How do you feel about brands trying to top each other by getting crazier or sounding edgy with their voice/content? Who do you think is doing it well?
I’ll start, I think Slim Jim does a great job with wacky content/voice
Seeing Indians with hatred against the west(due to which Indians have a job ) and Indian media nonstop propogating anti-west/anti-free world hate and supporting brutalities of Putin dictatorship.
Some Indians are even sympathizing with Iran and other radical countries which have carried multiple attack on India and the world.
Never knew Indians had such a despicable thought process.
One thing is clear we are digging our own ditch
How do i get a raise? Been in role for a year and am decent at my job. I probably fit in the “meets expectations” category but I’m consistent and have built good relationships. I haven’t asked for a raise but could really use one with inflation so high

Hi! Happy Friday! So I would like to ask for some pointers…I am looking for a side gig to keep my skills sharp and also make extra money, I am very good at data clean up in Salesforce using ETL tools. Anyway, if you guys can point me on where I can find some consulting or side gigs cleaning up or structuring data, I did that for 3 years implementing Salesforce and pivoted to demo’ing so don’t get to do a lot of that anymore 😊 thank you ahead of time!
how many yrs experience do you think a senior social strategist should have? haven’t been at my agency long but had a lot more responsibility in previous role... wondering how soon is too soon to ask

I'm planning on leaving my current company soon. I'm a little concerned that if I put in my two weeks they will fire me. What notice would you give? I'm not currently responsible for any big projects that would leave them hanging.
I have my first interview with a hiring manager at Amazon. I’ve been focusing on the leadership principles and presenting my stories in the STAR format, but any other tips or advice on how to ensure I put my best foot forward?

Despite the title here (I can’t seem to get a change to stick), I’m a senior UX designer who’s been at a company for 4.5 years. This week, I’ve adjusted my LinkedIn status to being “open to work”, for recruiters only — not actively seeking, just exploring options.
I’ve been unhappy at the org for the better part of a year since my former innovation team was dismantled. Just tonight, I received a connection request on LinkedIn from my HR director, whom I’ve minimally connected with. Coincidence?
Agile project delivery - Fact or Fiction?
The places I’ve worked at, as much as they say they delivery projects via agile, rarely achieve this (mostly waterfall with a small sprinkling of agile words thrown in for good measure).
Google / Facebook (Meta) / Amazon / Tesla / Apple / anyone else - please tell me that agile project delivery exists (and how have you made this possible in your company?)
I am looking to get a new car just because I was given my current car and it is not something I would have picked myself. I used to have a Honda element and I loved that everything was plastic and it was a simple car. I also loved the boxy design of it. I really want a jeep wrangler because right now, I only have one child (age 6). I want to get one now before I decide to have more kids which won't be for many years if I do.
I'm just worried I would be making a mistake. Thoughts?
I wonder, why everyone is not applying for FAANG and they’re happy with startups or other companies? (Not talking about who are not able to clear the interviews )

Fellow 🐟 designers/developers - what's your take on direct involvement with / leading customer comms in projects?
- Do you like having that opportunity to engage with the customer?

- Does it help give context to what you're working on?
- Do you see the value in it, which in return motivates you?

I’m eligible to receive an equity refresh award from my company where I can choose between three different elections:
* 100% Stock Options
* 50% Stock Options / 50% Restricted Stock Units
* 100% Restricted Stock Units
This is my first company that’s given me ESPP as a benefit and I’m unsure on which of the three is the best options - any advice would be greatly appreciated!
Facebook wants me to interview for a much lower title than what I currently have at Google. "Without 5 years of experience, your chances are slim for this position" is what they said when I applied. Do they really think that is supposed to entice anyone?

Either have a stack of cash to hire a developer, or learn to code.
There are plenty of no code tools out there to get an mvp created, but even then you’ll need to either hire a dev to create a real app or code it yourself
First find out if anyone wants it. I have quite a few failed ideas under my belt, because I built it before I validated it.
OP, read “the mom test” for a good guide on validating ideas
nowadays there are many no-code tools to develop apps. You can also take services of application development companies.
Don't start by building an app. Start by validating your idea.
There are entire books on how to do this but some ideas: run an Instagram ad for the app to judge demand, create a landing page where people can subscribe for updates.. I second the recommendation to read "the mom test"
I can code, tell me your idea
Start with a Web App then move onto Mobile App, might be an easier starting point for you.
The focus is not about the app, it’s about selling the core product
There are some low code or no code platforms that you could try out. Or you could consider partnering with a developer.
