Hi Fishes, I grabbed an offer at Accenture with 12 LPA fixed for Level 9. I'm not getting a retention offer from my current company at 13.5 lpa. How do I go about a counter offer with Accenture HR? Also tell me how to approach this situation smoothly.
If HR doesn't fulfill the counter offer, is it ok to accept 12 lpa fixed for Level 9 and when will I get a hike here and how much would it be approximately?
Accenture Please provide your insights. This is my first switch so I ne more exposure

Bonus is "woulda, coulda, shoulda". It is not guaranteed.
F that. Just ask
still try to negotiate. I don't want to rub people the wrong way for 5-10k. If yes, any suggestions on how to proceed? Never negotiated employment before.
Current comp and proposed comp numbers would help to provide some insights.
The proposed comp has a base that's nearly identical. Bonus target is 30%. Current bonus range is ~15-50%. So total comp could be a bit better or worse. Variability is obviously lower. Also, are vacation days something you can negotiate?
Any equity?
I think always good to negotiate a bit. Unless you already did but if not ask for more and prep your justification: industry average in the area, consulting experience etc.
Bonus in industry tend to be more reliable vs b4 where there is a let them eat cake mentality when numbers are stressed. First thing the LLPs do is circle their wagons and protect the equity bonus and then squeak something out for the top performers. In industry, while not guaranteed, there is more of a shared misery / success model. Add to that, many in industry will have a up to 2x multiplier for your 30%, turning it into 60% during a fantastic year
I always negotiate PTO. So far, I have always been successful. Give it a shot!
