I am starting a 4-months internship at a company B in January. However, I just heard from a company T that they will interview me for their full time position.

Company T is paying me way more (twice) than Company B. And I like company T more. However, they want me to start working in February if I get this position. If I end up getting the offer, I will have to quit my internship at Company B, almost immediately after I begin the internship.

Is this okay?

Anyone made a transition from consulting to startup? I am interested in doing end to end technical projects and therefore considering joining a series A startup. What factors should I consider when making this move (YOE < 2 years) - I might be able to get 10-15% increase in salary (which I might get at my current role by the end of year) but obviously the designation trajectory is not as well defined as it is in consulting. I’ll be resigning from my current role at the end of the year and I was wondering how to handle my 2 weeks notice. My firm shuts down between Christmas and New Years for a paid holiday break. That being said in this case do I give a longer than 2 weeks notice to account for the Christmas break? My last day would be on January 6th 2022. Secondary issue I have a 3 year vesting period on my 401k can I ask for the account to vest before I leave in my resignation letter?

What are your experiences regarding the case interviews at google vs. mgmt consulting? (Differences in style and difficulty, tips, etc.?)

Received take home interview assignments for a startup where data is incomplete/nonsensical and I suspect this is done on purpose. I clarified with interviewer and they state to make assumptions with the dirty data. I totally understand the intent but this rubs me the wrong way. WWYD.

I completed technical round of interview for Cognizant and was scheduled for L2 round. But during the L2 round, there were some technical issues with the application due to which the interviewer got a lag in my voice. So he said he would reschedule the interview. What should I do next? Recently i have seen many associates are complaining about work pressure at Infosys. The working environment has gotten worse. People are working 18 hrs per day and even on weekends. In Deloitte I asked 12lpa fixed + variable. They said consultant role starts with only 3 yoe. So they said 12 lpa is not possible for below 3 years. While I was given designation consultant only.

Is going to state/federal government to do investigative work a limiting move? Has anyone gone either route and found it to be particularly beneficial for their learning/development in this line of work? Let’s assume in this case money is the same or slightly better, even if only short term.

I’d like to work for the FBI either as a Special Agent or Professional Staff as a Forensic Accountant. I am currently a Senior Forensic Accountant at a public accounting firm but we mainly handle commercial damage calculations, business valuations, and SOME investigations that one might think of as “was there fraud? We’re not sure, please Mr. Forensic Accountant can you take a look at our QBs?”
Question: is this experience preferable to the FBI? Or do they prefer the AML professionals? CPA + CFE
