Not sure about the programs, but I have never heard good things about working the company. They’re also notorious for layoffs.
Up to you, could be walking into a mess of headaches. If you click on that Fiserv hyperlink in your post it’ll take you to a page with posts about the company. Seems others are saying the same.
I personally know people that have said the same things.. it’s a mess over there.
I worked for Fiserv as a technical project manager for 5 years & can say it’s gone downhill after the First Data merger. The FD CEO took over the company, and was really pushing for Fiserv to be like FD…and FD already had bad reviews & tons of complaints from their employees.
Before I left in Q3 ‘21, the CEO was enforcing people to come into the office 5 days a week - you had to be vaccinated, have a covid test done each day you come in, etc..
Around that time, many business units started to install the Sapience app on employee computers to monitor activity.
Lastly, the company stopped paying for our work cellphones & gave us the option to 1)Use our current work cellphone without cellular data/provider paid for by the company (you can only use WiFi) 2) use our personal phone, but have them install a security app to conduct work related activities or 3) find a new provider & Fiserv would pay like $60ish a month for your phone bill.
I left because I was fed up with the company putting business over employees & didn’t like the culture the CEO/FD leaders were trying to implement.
Never worked for them but have worked with them and it was a terrible experience
If you’re interested in the payments industry Squares enterprise business development (sales) is hiring, shoot me a message happy to discuss
Rotational programs help see different avenues of the business but are terrible for career development
I’m a current employee. Fiserv isn’t a terrible company. I think I depends on what team you’re on. To address the comments above, Fiserv was one of the only Payments companies that didn’t lay a single employee off during Covid. Stripe, Square, and others had massive layoffs at some point. So please don’t let the comment above sway you in that way. I’d probably agree that things changed when FD merged with Fiserv though. Just do research on the position, pay, and team you’ll be under—that’s what you should base your decision on.
I am currently in the program. It is a good investment if you are deciding whether or not you want to be in sales. If you want more information you can DM me
