LTI and Mindtree merger planned on 6 May as per media report . The brand name Mindtree will be dissolved. Seems appraisal discussions and hike is pending due to this event.
Don't expect good hike and people who can sense the future work culture , will start looking for the change now

Counter or lump up a signing bonus.
I countered it twice to which they came back to match my current base. The first offer was extremely low. They are giving bonus but I can make that up next year at D.
Go for it. Client facing will change your life.
Client-facing skills prepare you for sales and give you confidence in terms of developing your executive presence. Clients can hire you into their bank or organization. So the role will also increase your optionality in case you want to change jobs.

I will not switch for a same base unless PWC role offers entry to job profile you really want.
If you want better scope and more responsibility then switch.
I would do it if you think you can since it’s better long term. I was in a similar situation and decided to move from internal to client facing.
I think you should switch. Looks like PwC did agree to match your base, after initially providing a lower number, and there’s the signing bonus too. So you’re still equal to or better off financially, but the major thing being you’ll need in a client facing role and your opportunities will increase as will your learning and exposure.
That’s a better move long term.
What’s the offered job? What group?
Experienced finance associate- Industrial products
I would take the long term view. If your current position limits you long term growth but you feel the PwC position offers you room to grow then I would absolutely consider a move at the same pay. Considering only short term pay is extremely myopic.
In my case I live my team and PwC has been very good to me. But I have found my career stagnating for various reasons outside of performance. In my case I am willing to move, even if it means equal or lesser pay given the right team, work, and pathway to advancement. The opportunity that I am currently entertaining would be equal to what I make now. However, there are dynamics at play in the new opportunity that could easily double my compensation in the next 5 years. In the short term the idea is lackluster but in the long term it has significant upside.
Whatever you do I would highly encourage you to get to know the team you will be working with - any comparison on the level of firms will be useless. There is much greater variability within firm than between.
Definitely leave for that bruh
I was in the same spot as you, went in at a level below to PwC with only a 5K raise (very insignificant) - the growth and exposure was well worth that very minor set back. I’d recommend making that jump
I did this. Took a minor pay cut to go the PwC for the development from industry but asked for a sign on bonus to break even. Eighteen months later making more than I was at industry company. Still happy, learning a lot, and like the people I work with.
do you need help negotiating?
I did negotiate an this is their 3rd and final offer. They will not consider for a senior associate- I do t want to take a misguided step as it will look bad on my resume, so appreciate your insights
I’d keep searching for a better offer, why limit yourself
