Applied for a strategy role with a large tech firm 2 months back. Completed 5 rounds of interviews 2 weeks back. Initial feedback after the interview was good from the recruiter and was told that I will have an update by 21st Oct. As it’s been a week l followed-up with the recruiter this morning and asked for feedback. No reply so far, and the online job portal says “under review” as my status. Thoughts on what is going on? Why is the recruiter taking so much time in communicating the result?

I was offered X$ as a salary for a supervisor role. I asked for 10k more as a counter and received a greater breakdown of the correct pay being offered. With bonuses and shift diff it comes to maybe 5k more. That is only if the bonuses and overtime bonuses kick in. Do I still go with my original counter? This is very confusing for me.

Interviewed for an industry position last week and asked my interviewers what my hours would look like. They answered "uhh 40?" with a confused look. I explained to them my crazy hours in PA and why I wanted to ask, and they just laughed and said that no overtime is expected. Either public accounting really screwed up my view on work hours, or this is just an abnormally relaxed company.

Hi Sharks, I am in a dillema. Recruiter from a company called me that I am selected for the role. After 1 hour another recruiter called me to schedule first round, from a different posting. Immediately I didn't told her that I am selected as the first recruiter didn't completely closed and mentioned that she is awaiting written form.

Should I give the interview or call the first recruiter to clearly tell me that I am selected or not?
