Consulting firms are starting to pay us managers pretty well. It’s getting harder to find exits that improve TC. FWIW I left for $250k TC and probably left some money on the table. Flip side is wlb and happiness lol.
You’re expectations aren’t wrong. Just know to get more money you’re trading away better fit opportunities and less work.
Your expectations are not unrealistic. Try tech or another industry. I’ve seen a few offers myself for 200k+ as a 4 years out of undergrad experience (not manager)
... the work seems pretty interesting, and got some great vibes from the team during interview process. Might go back with a final rebuttal but would have to be willing to walk away. Any thoughts on whether this would be worth the move or should I be more patient. I’m ready for exit but very hesitant on taking a large comp reduction.
You make $270k TC as a Manager at S&? That’s higher than SM at Uncle D. Impressive. How long till you make SM? Would staying till title change help you make a move to something even higher?
Depends on the B4 group. We definitely have Deloitte M&A/S&A Managers hitting $250k TC and SMs making $320k TC.
OP, what level is the exit offer? Have seen both sr manager and director postings from them. Also is this for Seattle or a regional office? This will also impact pay.
On H1Bvisadata website, they have a director of device strategy at 195k base so if your offer is director level then it looks like there is room to negotiate

What level is the offer? I interviewed for the manager role but bailed out mid way.
Sr manager
Would they consider you for the director role?
