Actually hodinkee versions tend to hold value far better than the petite prince due to it being a limited edition. If you check out the prepared market, the petite prince tank just like ever other IWC
I own the Hodinkee model; snagged one before they sold out. At one point I saw one listed for sale on the forums for $5,900, but that was the lowest. All the main pre-owned resellers typically have them marked up over $7k (granted, you can call and negotiate down). It’s tough to say whether or not it’s worth $6,400 but here are my thoughts in the comments:
I wear mine on a few different badass NATOs with black hardware to match the case. It keeps the original strap new and gives me some options to switch up the look.

Very helpful
Paying retail is never a good deal. If you’re looking at it as an investment, I’d recommend the Petit Prince edition before Hodinkee, it’s cheaper and is a well known IWC special edition.
In general, most IWCs don’t hold their value. Regardless, I wouldn’t bank on a special edition based on a website holding more value a decade from now... especially when it’s +50% more than the standard/petit prince model.
Is it as scratch resistant as they claim?
Oh ok. If you were in Dallas I could have met up to show you it in person. I’ve actually considered selling mine a couple times, so perhaps I can be convinced, haha
