Hi,
Recently, I got an offer from Microsoft and the team is Dynamics 365 Globalization team. Could anyone let me know how is the work culture and tech stack in the team?
They are offering less as compared to my other offers. That is why i am trying to understand more about the work in teams?
Thanks Microsoft

đ˘ please donât and if you do excercise absolute caution. Definitely donât go to a bar or a restaurant. Nyc was a dark place for those of us who stuck it out and getting covid was not fun (myself and so many people that I know got it while being super careful hermits). Please be respectful of that. It definitely grinds my gears to see tourists in my neighborhoods (and yes, youâd be a tourist). Iâm guessing youâd have to take public transit to hike - donât.
Are you staying in nyc? If youâre just in their suburban home and only leaving for the hike, you should be fine - as long as you distance from your friend which is possible.
Please drive to take a hike, donât take the train if you wonât be quarantining. If youâre flying they will require you to fill out a form with all of your contact information, including where you will be staying for the next 14 days, and hand it to a health worker once off the plane. NYC has worked really hard to be where we are but sadly weâre reliant on people like you to be responsible â Iâd ask you not to come but if you do please be very very very careful. Maybe consider quarantining before you go. The rules are in place for a reason.
Lol at these New Yorkers in typical condescending fashion... either way, yâall are welcome to come down to Texas anytime. Just donât forget why you came.
The only reason you want to visit NYC is because of our rules and how people have followed them. Donât be a part of breaking that, op!
The rules apply to 40 states and change with the weather â- making them for the most part are unenforceable and tbd on being unconstitutional. Like similar rules in other states (Florida, IL, RI etc.) . Its mostly political grandstanding by a city and state administrations that failed and are now trying all sorts of mental gymnastics around it including silly rules that give the people an âotherâ to blame incase things go bad.
Donât do anything stupid such as not wearing a mask and attending large social gatherings or step out if you feel sick., be a responsible adult citizen. Canât let the government start dictating where we can go or what we can do.
I have nothing against recommending reduced travel, masks, social distancing, contact tracing if positive the whole hog.
I am against surveillance and a presumption of âthose idiots for X brought covid to usâ. And the rhetoric of âX% of cases in Y came from other statesâ which reeks of âDonât come hereâ and is in quite the same vein as âChinese travellers brought covidâ. We are in community spread which means that the idea of someone bringing covid doesnât even apply.
Cuomo and BDB were against this same rules by the southern states back in March when travellers from NY were being asked to quarantine and as was I.
Placing restrictions and fines on movements suggests a lack of trust in the general population to take decisions for themselves and their families/communities and encourages work arounds.
It also sets a precedent for governments to use âemergency situationsâ to start surveilling legal residents without a warrant. I for one am not comfortable giving details of my movements to the government and have them call to check on my whereabouts/ pay $$$ for not giving them my whereabouts.
If the city and states mechanism are good and robust then testing should be able to catch positives early and prevent hotspots. If your messaging has been successful then people should not be travelling unless they deem it to be necessary and should be taking precautions while travelling.
Yolo
Thanks Y'all for the responses.
I will be mostly living in Jersey City and planning to drive to upstate NY.
The only time I'll be in NYC is for airport.
Ofcourse, we are all educated and will wear mask, practice social distancing. I'm still afraid of dining in at a restaurant, so will be not doing that even allowed
OP, Texas is on the NJ quarantine list. Why are you refusing to follow it?
The rules are so broad (the order essentially just says donât go out in public and not much else) and apply to almost every state in the country, which makes them effectively unenforceable. Not sure why they havenât been made more specific or re-evaluated. But still, the right thing to do would be to stay home (I think a socially distanced drive to hike would be fine but technically it is breaking the rules) and have as minimal contact as possible. However, youâd need to also just double check NJâs rules. I donât think NYâs specifically apply to passing through NYâs airport only (although I believe NJâs rules are relatively the same anyway).
Youâll be fine. And if youâre staying in NJ, youâll definitely be ok as their quarantine is voluntary.
I would say it depends. My friend who is a NYC resident came back from St John and she received daily calls from our government making sure she quarantines. Another friend was threatened with a huge fine 25,000$ for leaving his apartment (the usual fine is 2,500 so that seemed excessive) then another friend didnât receive any calls. At the end of the day, we donât want you to get our state/city sick, thereâs 9 million of us, it can spread fast. Be responsible
I donât understand why NY doesnât just let people come in if they can show they tested negative within the past few days.
