One thing I used in my classroom was a kindness tree. I absolutely loved this and used sticky notes to minimize prep. One thing I loved about the kindness tree was once children caught on they could write sticky notes for acts of kindness for each other. They LOVED that. I took down the sticky notes every Friday, and children got to take their note(s) home. Here’s an example:
Brag tags are a lot of work, but the kids love earning them!
I spent forever making them one year when I taught K, and they were neat but not worth the effort IMO. If I had it to redo, I would not have made quite so many different label choices. Just stick with a few.
I use brag tags when doing push in support in a co-taught room. I won’t lie, the cutting sucks but once you have them all cut it is very easy. I only needed to prep for them twice this past year
