Hi all, new to fishbowl. I am currently a PTA working in homecare. I am considering changing career paths to non-clinical. Everything I search for available jobs in the pay range that I need seems to come up as sales, (Sr, executive, etc) I have zero sales experience, but could see myself working as a healthcare liason, recruiter, care coordinator, or pharm sales rep. I live in Dayton, OH. I would love some insight or feedback. I also see Gpac recruiting popping up, is this a reputable co? Ty!
I asked what they had in place when I started several years ago. It’s a $50 credit per month and they pay it quarterly. I’d just ask what their PDA or personal device reimbursement is.
I’m kind of shocked they didn’t just offer it up. I feel like most places do now.
I’ve heard of friends and family actually having to submit a bill to verify services. Thankfully my firm doesn’t require that.
Good luck!
I work for a big firm and a bunch of paralegals from offices in different states got together a couple of years ago and tried to campaign our Executive Committee for this. They basically got laughed out of the room. Best of luck to you - hope your efforts go better than ours did!
Lol unionize
Depending on what state you’re from, legally you’re supposed to be reimbursed. The question is if the firm has a policy against staff using their cell phones for work related activities. Good luck!
Update - they do not have a policy so I set a boundary that I will not be texting from my phone and will instead text from my email. There’s a way to do that if you know the carrier, so I suppose it’s a good alternative. Glad I asked, thanks everyone for your input.
It might seem petty if your cell phone plan includes unlimited everything which means you’re not paying for that. Look at it like this. If my boss says can you print this for me or make copies of this for me I simply say sure! If they want to pay me to stand at a copier and make copies no problem!
