I haven’t from India, but have from several countries in Europe and from China and Hong Kong... 100+ oz at a time. I pack mine unfrozen in a soft- sided cooler bag on ice packs and put that in my suitcase and check it. Milk has always arrived home still chilled - longest trip was probably 22 hours. I have *not* had consistent success carrying pumped milk on board a flight from outside the US unless the baby is with me. Within the US you can do this, but outside the US the laws seem to miss the whole point of pumping.... like, obviously the baby isn’t with me, that’s why I’m pumping... 🤷🏻♀️
Exact same. I put it in checked luggage to avoid risking having to dump it out. Yeti cooler is great btw, completely waterproof so even if the ice inside melts, it doesn't leak out.
G1 unnecessary comment. OP, I have not but I believe there are coolers that you can hand carry - you may want to call your specific airline to confirm their regulations and have it printed etc. I assume customs in India may take a close look but I'm not sure their protocol.
If you want to ship, I believe DHL allows it but I'm not exactly sure how it would need to be packaged.
I’ve brought a styrofoam cooler full of frozen bm from Europe to the US during a move. I just packed it full with bags of milk and cooler packs, taped it all shut and labeled everything very clearly. I wanted to avoid them opening the cooler (and losing the cold) if at all possible. Everything went fine and all bags were still frozen solid when I got through customs and home.
Haven’t from India but have from several European countries. The hardest detail is safe, cool storage at the hotel (I prefer to freeze my milk for transport). Like a prior poster said, I’ve always had to check my milk of traveling outside the US.
The AO soft side cooler is great. I’m also a really big fan of the Cooler Shock packs. They stay cold forever.
That’s weird but I don’t think it’s healthy neither
Lugging a cooler is brutal for your back, that's the big health risk to watch 😂😂😂
Many of us give kids frozen BM all the time. Looking for airport guidelines here.
I’ve brought frozen milk from india to the US.. it was just 20-30 oz so I actually kept it in my carry on in a medela cooler and requested the flight attendants to keep it in their freezer. Since my baby was with me and it was a small amount this was pretty easy.
