I guess SQL and Python questions maybe
I’ve interviewed them but not the other way around. What kind of product is this?
That makes sense then. In my roles it’s been more of a situation where I’m their stakeholder, not so much that data science was heavily involved in the product. Good luck!

I often put a data scientist on my PM loops. I ask then to assess whether the candidate will be a good partner for data science.
Do they understand what conclusions they
should be drawing from a dataset? Can they structure their asks for data science in a productive way? Can they be specific about what dashboards would most help them make product decisions and what would be better as one off asks? Have they demonstrated all of this in their work history?
I've had do it a few times. I didn't really ask any crazy deep questions, but it's like someone above said - it was to make sure we liked them, they were competent and that we would all play well together since the teams worked closely together. I think it's just another way to make sure someone's a good fit so I wouldn't worry too much
Are your questions focused on behaviorals/ experience or domain/area expertise?
Probably want you to design a ML model from scratch
Pretty common. Amazon for example likes to bring in a tie-breaker or something like that from another department just to provide another perspective
Tell me a time when you use data to inform a key product decision .
