Have any of you who are behavioral health therapists/psychologists remained in touch with prior patients/clients? I would be interested to hear about your experience with this including what kind of boundaries you set. Thanks in advance!

No, I have not, and not sure if I really want to cross that line. I look at it as it is my job and they are my clients. Not here to be friends. They can reach out to me for help as I will always be there for them.

Aunt works as a psychologist and when I asked her something similar , she said that the relationships can only really be half baked. Just the nature of the game.

I'm not sure if it is "legal" to keep in touch with prior patients. But I have seen a lot of therapists develop a good relationship with their patients and kept in touch.

I've remained in contact with former patients of mine since we've ended contracts. I'm willing to answer inquiries about the general idea of my field of work but if they're looking for specific advice, I refer them to other therapists. It's just the common boundary I set.

I have a MHA, MBA, and BSHA. I’m wanting to get into a supervisor or manger role but I don’t have the experience. Does anyone have any suggestions on how I dive in and start getting the experience I need? I live in Washington and work in Oregon. Also, anything using my MBA would be favored as well, this degree is not healthcare specific. Thank you!

I am an hourly employee. Currently if there is a hospital call that needs to be done, someone will volunteer to do it for overtime. Now, my company wants to create a set call schedule. If we get a call at 5pm, when my shift ends, can I still be required to complete the call? I will be paid overtime but don’t like the fact they will force it upon us.

Just a question for those here. What does anyone see as a job outlook for a pharmacy technician that has 15 years of experience and is studying for the CPhT? I would like to return to 100% remote work and, understandably, most job postings that are about my caliber are requiring the cert. I am thinking of possibly pivoting into an IT job that would be fully remote later on down the road, but I’m interested in seeing what is possible now (and an average pay) for someone with my experience.
