Has anyone moved from Accenture Federal to CGI Federal at Manager/Senior Manager level? Looking at Strategy/Organizational Change Management roles, and curious to know if you feel that compensation and benefits were worth it when measured against your actual experience once you started working with CGI. (I understand that some of it depends on the account you're on, the team you have, etc., just trying to decide if it's worth considering.) Thanks!

Is it lucrative? Uh.....yes.
I have been a lobbyist. It can be more lucrative and is definitely less stable. Whether it’s the dark side depends on your clients. Lot of lobbying in health and defense sectors.
By accident, honestly. Started working as a legislative assistant at a firm out of undergrad and worked my way up.
I was/still am a lobbyist. Lots of variation on the pay depending on the issues you are working on and where you work. Parts of my career lobbying have been incredible satisfying and rewarding. I think as another poster mentioned about if I was lobbying for the tobacco companies or the NRA I might have already killed myself.
And it is hard to jump to that work if you don’t have the background. All about relationships on the hill, using your networks and resources to influence people and understanding the ins and outs of how congress works
Is GT hiring in public affairs?
Definitely not more stable.
I just bought an inexpensive preowned BMW. The finance guy told me the day before they’d sold something for more than 150k to a tobacco lobbyist who planned to drive it once or twice a month. So, yeah, kinda lucrative.
Also was a lobbyist. It can be very lucrative, it is definitely less stable. I was working for clients that made me sleep well at night, but I found the people in the sphere worst than in consulting.
But the job is fascinating.
What made people the worst
Nope
Lucrative, yes. Dark side, yes. Unless you’re getting into lobbying for a firm you know only lobbies for causes you support, prepare to lose a little faith in the world.
