Have been focused on getting an investment facing role but would be curious to hearing the perks of a portfolio ops role over investing? Any thoughts on benefits?

In the past I’ve worked in consumer lending and have been trying to get back into that field of work. My current employer hasn’t really had any openings in any department that I’m interested in and job shadowing hasn’t been an option due to how the workload of the department is. Does anyone know of any potential work from home and/or office positions open for consumer lending with good pay and benefits? I’m a quick learner, knowledgeable and hard working. Now it has just got increased by factor of 3 or 3.25 i.e. 8 year of work ex 8x3 = 24 -27 lacs

I’m sure it’ll vary depending on the specific terms of the agreement and ethos of the fund, but generally / anecdotally what would cost you to lose a VESTED carry? E.g. what if you leave to a competitor even when respecting the gardening leave / non poaching etc? What if you are let go for underperformance (but haven’t breached any rules / done anything unethical etc). Or what if you’re let go simply due to eg the fund reducing headcount or your team?
